[MWC 2012] ASUS Announces Transformer Pad 300 tablet mid-range for all

[MWC 2012] ASUS Announces Transformer Pad 300 tablet mid-range for all

It was only in November when ASUS started marketing the Transformer Prime, and looked likely to remain the absolute top of the range of ASUS for a long time – since it was expected that any other tablet presentassero characteristics of the lower level. Yet this is not the case, and the Prime is already more than the one proposed by ASUS with NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor. In addition to Infinity Pad Transformer which we have mentioned before, in fact, ASUS has used the Mobile World Congress to present also the Pad Transformer 300 to complete his offer.

The new tablet and the same spotted a few days ago, and as expected it is a more economical version of Prime. The body and in fact rigid plastic available in different colors (blue, white and red), the screen and a "simple" IPS and the Super IPS + 600nit by the Prime and Infinity, as well as storage space inside the part lower limit of 16GB (expandable via microSD) and not by the 32 Prime. The downgrade of the features, however, ends here. Everything else that you can read in the data sheet of the Prime and transported directly in the data sheet of the transformer 300.

As the "big brother", the transformer 300 will be able to withstand 10 hours of use per battery charge (increased to 15 hours with the dock with keyboard), while in contrast to the Prime will be available immediately with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. There are no news about marketing dates and prices, but we expect a placement on a more low-end market – presumably around 300 €. Further on in March and expected communications from ASUS, so stay tuned for more information.
