Sony Xperia S: Google removes dall'AOSP but Sony keeps alive the project via GitHub

Sony Xperia S: Google removes it from'AOSP ma Sony tiene vivo il progetto via GitHub

The Sony Xperia S was the first smartphone ever in the history of Android to have been "summoned" by Google to be part of the AOSP project, or a project that would lead the smartphone to be in all respects a Nexus because Google would steps to modify the software completely making AOSP, ie created from source Android as the Nexus.

Unfortunately, however, this very morning comes bad news about it. The Sony Xperia S has been removed from the project AOSP for the sake of a little time and resources available from Google for the project to a non-Nexus device – at least this is the response from Sony. The real explanation, however, may not be just that, as we remember that Sony has not yet officially released the binaries Xperia S AOSP without which a project can not go ahead, as will result always imperfect resulting in unusable daily device.

Nevertheless, Sony decided to keep alive the project via GitHub, which is a kind of social network dedicated to developers through which you can manage a project and communicate with other developers who are part of it in order to improve it. Finally, we show the video made by Sony that shows to what extent the project AOSP sull'Xperia S and come so far.
